Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are used in your paintings?
My paintings are usually a combination of different artist texture pastes, collage papers, paint (mostly acrylic, sometimes oil), charcoal, pastels to name a few.
How long will the painting last for? Is it archival?
Texture art can last for many years, especially with proper care. The durability of texture art depends on the type of coating and how it's applied. I ensure all my paintings have been coated and sealed however they are not 100% resistant to water. The crackle pastes may also chip off if roughly handled. I do not recommend placing these in high moisture rooms like bathroom’s as it may soften the materials over time.
What about your Art Prints?
The art prints are printed on archival cotton rag using Giclée printing methods designed to last for over 100 years in normal conditions, and up to 200 years if stored in ideal conditions.
Display
Giclée prints should be kept away from direct sunlight, bright lights, and fluctuating temperatures. They should also be kept away from heating vents and air conditioning units.
Care
Giclée prints should be handled with care, and never touched with bare hands. They should also be kept away from moisture and chemicals.
Framing
Giclée prints should be framed to protect them from air and UV light.
Are your artworks framed?
The canvas paintings are stretched over wooden frames which are all 3.5cm deep. They are ready to hang with either rope or wire. They do not come with floating frames. The art prints will not be framed and instead sent to you in a roll tube.
